Alex’s Lemonade Stand
January 22, 2019
Throughout the second week of January, one Freshman Seminar class has decided to make a difference. During lunches, students have been volunteering through a program known as Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. This organization was founded by Alexandra Scott, a young girl who suffered from neuroblastoma. All proceeds made during the week went directly to pediatric cancer research. Mrs. Ritacco’s class was selling lemonade and sweets to brighten the consumer’s day as well as helping someone in need. This freshman seminar class put forth their best effort to support something they believed in so strongly. Mrs. Ritacco’s class is helping raise awareness of this organization around our school. By allowing our school to work hand-in-hand with such a great foundation, we have grown character and donated to potentially save the lives of cancer patients. Thank you to the Freshman Seminar class for showcasing a wonderful organization and such a great idea!
