How The Grinch Stole ChristmasIn this live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Reluctantly joined by his dog, Max, the Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. However, the bitter grump finds a hitch in his plans when he encounters the endearing Cindy Lou Who, who wants to make the Grinch change his view on Christmas and enjoy. This movie is great for young kids and families to watch together because it is perfect for all ages.

Home Alone– This movie is all about a little bratty 8-year old named Kevin McCallister who ends up getting left behind accidentally by his family as they were leaving for vacation. This makes him believe that what he wished for the night before, to have no family, actually came true. Throughout the movie, we see Kevin switch gears and become responsible and independent while he cares for himself and protects his house from these two men who are trying to rob it.

Elf– When Buddy the elf accidentally ends up in Santa’s bag of toys and brought to the North Pole from the orphanage, he is raised by an elf. Once he can’t put up with how much he doesn’t fit in, he decides to travel to New York in search of his real father, Walter Hobbs. Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results allowing him to see what the real world is like.

The Polar Express– This movie is based on an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. Throughout the story, we get to see him make new friends and see what believing can really do.

The Santa Clause Series– In the first Santa Clause, Scott Calvin gets to have his son for Christmas, however, when he causes Santa to fall off the roof, he then becomes Santa. In this movie, we get to go along with Scott as he transforms from Scott to Santa. In the second movie, The Santa Clause 2, Santa realizes that he needs to find a wife before Christmas Eve, otherwise he can’t be Santa anymore. Throughout the movie, we get to see him reshape Carol’s beliefs in Santa and watch their love story form. In The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, we get to witness the catastrophe that occurs when Santa invites the inlaws to the North Pole to visit Carol before the baby comes. Similar to the third one, Santa puts Carol’s parent’s belief

in Santa back together by dropping hints throughout the movie about his true identity. We also get to see Santa realize how important family is and it taught the viewers to not take life for granted because every moment is precious.
