The weather is heating up, the birds are chirping, and the last day of school is rapidly approaching. You may be imagining a spring and summer filled with fun, outdoor activities. But will the coronavirus ruin these plans? No! It does not have to. There are plenty of COVID-friendly activities that you can do this spring and summer!

You can have a picnic! Go outside with your friends and family and have a safe, socially distanced picnic. Being outside and socially distanced allows for you and your friends to be safe. You can try the new popular picnic trends that are on tiktok. For example, using glasses to cut the cake into separate pieces. You can make your picnic blanket aesthetically pleasing and take pictures of it or make a TikTok as well.

Another option is to go on a hike with your friends or family. There are so many hiking trails to choose from nearby, such as the South Mountain Reservoir. If you are looking for a bit of a drive, you can also hike by the Delaware River. Being in the fresh air away from technology for a few hours will also be good for your physical and mental health.

Go on a bike ride with your friends! A safe way to see your friends is by riding your bike around a park or on certain trails. For example, you can ride your bike on the 8 at Whippany Park or Malapardis Park. You would already be socially distanced from them while riding your bike, and it is a good way to get some exercise in.
