School Reopening Plans

On Thursday October 29, 2020 Whippany Park High School will reopen for students for the first time since March 12. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, school has been shut down and online for months. The school finally feels that it is safe enough to open up for students on the basis of a hybrid schedule. It is an exciting but stressful time for students and teachers trying to adjust to all the changes.

The hybrid schedule contains A day cohorts and B day cohorts. On A day, students with the last name from A through K will attend school, and on B day, students with the last name from L through Z will attend school. Each day will be a half day from 8:10 to 12:43. When the A cohort is in school, the B day cohort is on zoom at home and vice versa. Social distancing rules and masks will be implemented at all times. Students must sanitize their hands before and after class. Additionally, students must not take their masks off.

The Coronavirus pandemic has been affecting the way school has been and the way students have been learning, but Whippany Park High School is doing the best they can to make it a safe and welcoming place for returning students.
